I broke the wrist of my dominate hand, which is preventing me from teaching and creating.

Why have artists throughout the ages avoided/dreaded drawing hands? What are the secrets and pitfalls?

In this workshop you will learn the key hand proportions and other characteristics. We will work through strategies on how to draw a hand and practice them.

Materials:  Four plain 8 1/2x11 sheets of paper or sketch book of similar size or larger, pencil or mechanical pencil, eraser, 12” to 18” ruler, notepad for notes (optional), patience, and humor. Phones must be turned off during the workshop.

For the advanced beginner and above, who are vaccinated and 18 years and older.

15 students maximum.

Fee: $125 -- includes materials supplied by instructor

Time:  10:00 am to 4pm with 30 minute lunch break. Please bring a lunch.

Note about instructor: Carol is currently known for her abstract paintings. However, from 1996-2003 she was well-known for her paintings and drawing of hands.

Welcome to an invitation only exhibition featuring ten artists working in

oil with cold wax and encaustic.

This exhibition will give you the opportunity to "try-on" a number of different colors and color palettes all in one space.
